Providing supported living care represents one of the most complex administrative challenges in the care sector. Supported living packages will often be at different hourly rates or agreed charges per week or other period per service user. Carers may be assigned to provide general care at a property or specific one-to-one care with an individual or multiple service users, or care may be demand-driven by self-funding clients. But whatever way care is delivered, client invoices and carers’ pay must be calculated correctly.

Furthermore, care and support plans need to be person centred, highly detailed and convey the individual needs of each service user. All this must be communicated to the care team in an easily understandable form and always up-to-date and available – to CQC inspectors as well as care providers.
